Star Gospel Mission’s: A Walk In Their Shoes - and St. Finbar’s first official gathering!

What a morning! What a turnout! What a blessing! Thank you to everyone who participated - and offered support - to Star Gospel Mission’s: A Walk In Their Shoes. It was so wonderful to come together for the first time, and in service, as a school community.

Yesterday’s walk to raise awareness about homelessness in our city was more than a community event—it was a sobering and loving reminder that we meet Christ in the faces and stories of those around us every day, especially the overlooked and unheard. As we walked, we were invited to slow our steps, pray, reflect, and recognize His presence both all around us, and especially in those so regularly pushed to the margins of our society.

What a powerful opportunity, and on Pentecost Sunday, to reflect not only on the needs of our neighbors but also on the call to love more deeply, see more clearly, and act with compassion. May we continue to walk—not just today, but every day—with hearts open to where Christ is already waiting.

We’re grateful and looking forward to the opportunity to continue to partner with Star Gospel Mission this upcoming year and to serve our brothers and sisters, right here on our own doorstep.
